Sights that boggle the mind are visible in the clear, dark desert skies each evening. This workshop is designed for beginning stargazers interested in exploring the enjoyable and mind-expanding hobby of amateur astronomy. Participants will learn what's in the sky, how the heavens move, and how to find their way around the maze of stars, as well as getting a chance to view some of its wonders through a telescope. This class, which is taught by noted astronomer and author Dennis Mammana, is offered by Anza-Borrego Foundation and has a fee ($80/$70 for ABF members).
