Join Portola State Park Naturalist on this mellow, 1-mile stroll through the redwoods and discover one of the oldest trees in the park. We’ll be looking at how this ancient ecosystem adapts over time to major changes including man-made fires, logging, and our exceptional drought. All guided hikes meet at Hopkins Grove, next to the visitor center. Contact (831) 291-8273 for more information. Program is free, parking is $10. Rain cancels.
