Heroes of the Air
A Historic Celebration
A Once in a Lifetime Centennial Event
A century ago, brave men flew wood and cloth airplanes into the heavens to learn how to fly. Many died. In 1915, a mysterious tribute was left to them at the East Peak of Mt. Tamalpais; important pioneering names were sealed under a plaque in mountain rock. On May 30, 2015, the plaque will be removed and a 100-year old mystery will be solved.
This will be a short half-hour historic event. – Come celebrate the rich history of Mt. Tamalpais.
