 Sea Lion Mock Rescue Image

JGs is not a "learn to swim" program and prospective students must demonstrate basic swimming skills to benefit from our curriculum.

 The tryout consists of:

1) 100yds pool swim in less than 3 minutes

2) 10yds underwater swim

3) Treading water for 3 minutes

If time and resources allow swim lessons are provided free of charge at the tryouts to help improve a child's basic swimming skills.

Tryout dates, times, and locations are posted on our "Home Page"

UNIFORMS

All participants are required to wear a uniform for team camaraderie and for safety.

*Required: Royal Blue Swimsuit/Trunks and T-Shirt*

Arrive and leave in plain, sweatpants/yoga pants or shorts: (ie. royal blue, grey, navy blue, or black)

The uniforms allow the Instructors to safely monitor the children and distinguish them from non-Junior Guard participants.
