Session Dates/Registration/Swim Test

Creating Your Account On ReserveCalifornia.com
Login, Create New Account and Setting Up Your Dependents on ReserveCalifornia.com
Step 1: Login or create your NEW account by selecting the "LOGIN IN" or "CREAT ACCOUNT" button on the top menu.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, navigate to "YOUR ACCOUNT" on the top menu. A drop will display. Select "YOUR DEPENDENTS".
Step 3: A page titled "Persons" should appear. There will be a button that says "Add Person". Click on this button to launch the "Add New Person" page.
Step 5: Once you are done entering the above information, select "Add Dependent" and you will then be brought to the previous page and your new dependent should be listed. You can continue to add dependents to your account or proceed to enrolling your dependent(s) in a Junior Lifeguard Program if registration is open.
Returning Torrey Pines Jr. Guards "DO NOT" need to retest. If you are on a swim team or Water Pole team contact us and we can wave your swim test.
We are very strict on our time standards for safety reasons. Due to the popularity of the program, you can only retest that day. Please prepare your child before the test!!!!
Swim Test Date: May 18 & June 1 12:00pm-3:00pm You may attend ether day anytime. No appointment neccessary.

What do I do at the swim test?
Part I: 100 yards swim under a maximum time limit.
9-11 years old- under 2:30
12-13 years old- under 2:15
14-16 years old- under 2:00
Part II: 10 meter under water swim.
The child must swim under water for 10 meters.
To begin they are allowed to push off the side of the pool.
To complete this test, the body and head can not break the surface of the water.
Part III: 3 Minutes of Treading water.
What do the different tests represent?
The first test shows us that the child is a strong enough swimmer for our program, the second test shows us that the child is comfortable enough to swim under waves, the last test shows us that the participant knows how to stay afloat for an extended amount of time.
