Outdoor Recreation Leadership
You Can Make A Difference!
Outdoor Recreation Leadership is an exciting training that focuses on the role of outdoor recreation in developing leadership skills. The training combines outdoor recreation leadership, youth development principles, and community building tools. Participants will experience outdoor challenge activities as well as plan, implement and evaluate an overnight camping trip. Participants will be prepared with skills to, not only to lead overnight camping experiences with more confidence, but develop strategies and techniques to enhance all of their community programming. Upon completion of the training, participants will have access to the California State Parks' FamCamp® program! The FamCamp® program provides a trailer full of camping equipment and a campsite reserved at a State Park.
