Interested in volunteering at California State Parks? There are many volunteer opportunities currently being offered at Candlestick Point SRA. The need is deep and the projects are wide in variety. From weeding gardens to building picnic tables there is something for everyone. Gain hands on experience and learn new skills as you take part in beautifying one of California State Parks first urban park. Group projects led by State Park Staff in partnership with the California State Parks Foundation take place every 3rd Wednesday of the month. These projects typically take place onsite at the main park and commonly involve tree trimming, brush removal, weeding, painting and trail work. Group projects led by Candlestick Point Eco-Stewards in partnership with the California State Parks Foundation take place every 1st and 2nd Saturday of the month. These projects typically take place in the Native Plant Nursery or at the Yosemite Slough Wetland Restoration Site and commonly involve plant propagation, seeding, weeding, and replanting.
