Environmental Studies Program
Thank you for your interest in the Environmental Studies Program (ESP) at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park. This is a very special program that allows students to spend 8 hours (8am-4pm) at Sutter’s Fort. While here, they will portray 1840’s characters and partake in period activities, such as carpentry, baking and rope-making.
This program is available to public, private and home school groups. Unlike the Environmental Living Program (ELP), it is also available to middle school and high school students, in addition to those in elementary school. The Environmental Studies Program is limited to a maximum of 80 student participants.
For more information, such as the application process, cost and available dates, please look at the ESP Program Summary. To apply, please fill out and send in the ESP Application. If you have any questions, please contact the ESP Coordinator at Adrian.Hough@parks.ca.gov or (916) 323-7627. Thank you!
