In an effort to protect public health and the safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff as the state responds to the continued threat of COVID-19, California State Parks is temporarily suspending all guided tours at California Citrus State Historic Park. While we are not directly affected by COVID-19, we are monitoring the situation carefully and are committed to being responsive and following the California Governor’s updated policy on social gatherings to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The park will remain open for all other activities such as walking the trails, picnicking, etc. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause your visit. We thank you for your patience, trust and continued support. We’d also like to thank our volunteers and staff for their commitment and dedication as public servants through these challenging circumstances. 2020 School Tours - 3rd/4th Grade School Groups
This program is designed for children in third or fourth grade only. The California Citrus State Historic Park school tours are available January through April on Thursdays. There are two available tour times each Thursday. The morning tour is from 9:30am-11:00am and the afternoon tour is from 12:30pm-2:00pm. Our tours have three parts: Visitor Center/Museum tour, grove tour, and citrus tasting.
Special Tour Days - Home School, Charter School, and Non-3rd/4th Grade School Groups
The first Thursday afternoon tour (12:30-2:30pm) of the month is reserved for home school, charter school, and non-3rd/4th grade school groups. During this time, no formal museum tours are given, but volunteers and staff are on hand for questions as part of the open house style experience for students, chaperones, and other guests. While there is an ongoing tasting table on the back patio, grove tours are scheduled on a first come, first served basis that day. Grove tours will depart at 12:30pm, 1:15pm, and 2:00pm with a maximum of 20 people per tour, including all students, chaperones, and other guests.
Due to space limitations, we are unable to accommodate reservations of more than 50 people total including students, chaperones, and other guests. Groups of less than 50 people will share the tour day with other groups.
Home school, charter school, and non-3rd/4th grade school groups must use the same registration procedure as 3rd/4th grade groups.
