Question:
Answer:
Do I have to register my child before tryouts?
Yes.

Would I receive a refund if my child doesn’t pass?
Yes. If your child doesn’t pass the tryout, you would receive a refund.

If my child is new to the program does he/she have to tryout?
Yes. If your child is registered for the first session, your child must attend the first session tryout. If your child is registered in the second session, he/she may attend the first tryout or the second tryout.

Do you offer make-up tryouts?
No

If my child has done junior guards before, does he/she still need to tryout?
No. Just sign up and see us on the first day.

How can I buy uniforms?
Attend one of the parent meetings and buy the items then. Or, parents may purchase uniforms during the first week (Monday – Thursday) before or after the program begins—not during program hours. We accept cash or checks only.

If for some reason my child can not do junior guards, would we get a full refund?
No. We have a no refund policy. The only time we make a refund is if a child fails the tryout or is injured during the program. Please be sure your child wants to do the program before you sign them up.

My child might miss the last/first week of junior guards because we are going to be out of town. Is it possible for my child do part of one session and part of another?
No. If a child misses a few days or a week, that’s ok. However, the price would still be the same.

How do I receive a schedule with important dates?
We will hand those out on the first day of junior lifeguards along with any other important information/forms.

What is the best way to have someone answer some of my questions during the program?
Come to the beach before/after the program and ask one of the lifeguards in person.
