Suggestions for Enjoying the Event - This is a nighttime event that includes walking and several steps. Ninteenth Century adobes were not built for ADA compliance, though many buildings have been modernized with accessibility in mind. Those are indicated in your program along with descriptions of each adobe that you recieve when you purchase tickets. If buying tickets on-line at www.mshpa.org your tickets and program will be at Will Call located at Pacific House Museum on the west side of Custom House Plaza. (See link to map above.) Will Call will be located outside the museum under a large white canopy. We strongly recommend that you bring a flashlight, watch the weather forecasts and dress appropriately. Each year many event goers stay the weekend at a downtown hotel and attend both nights by purchasing a two-night pass so they can see every venue. Guides, (called Wayfinders) will be positioned along the route and at buildings to help you find your way to the next adobe or venue. Volunteers will serve refreshments or offer information about the history of many buildings. Some adobes offer interactive fun. Children's ticket prices are only $2 to encourage their attendance, and besides, this is a charitable fund raiser that supports school history field trips to Monterey State Historic Park, so it just wouldn't be right to charge them a lot! May the joys of the season be with you and your family.
