Camp at Little Basin this Fall
This fall camp under the redwoods at California State Park’s newest campground in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Little Basin is a family, school, and group campground located within Big Basin Redwoods State Park in Boulder Creek, California. In 2007 Sempervirens Fund, the local land trust that led the effort to establish Big Basin Redwoods State Park more than 100 years ago, and the Peninsula Open Space Trust purchased the 535-acre Little Basin property and in 2011 they transferred it to State Parks, along with a stewardship fund to support its upkeep.
Little Basin is a unique camping destination that features open grassy meadows, acres of dense redwood forest, and miles of hiking trails as well as two sports fields, a tennis court, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a children’s playground, and more. Camping accommodations include cabins, tent spaces, RV sites and a large group camping area. All campsites are equipped with a BBQ grill, picnic table, and fire ring. The campground also includes piped drinking water, rest rooms, and showers.
