Sunday 6/20 10 am. - Hike to China Hole and Poverty Flat.  Hike leader is Debbie Frederick.  Meet at the park Visitor Center 10 am at the Coe Ranch Entrance near Morgan Hill.  This hike is 10 miles long with 1500' of climbing.  Be prepared for hot weather, carry ample water (1 gallon per person), lunch, and snacks.  Debbie will teach you about the park and show some of the most beautiful areas of the park.

Saturday 7/10 8 pm. - Fire in Coe Park - Welcomed or unwelcomed.  2007 Lick Fire Recovery with Winslow Briggs in the Coe Ranch Visitor Center Interpretive Room.

Saturday 7/10 Sunset to 2 am. - San Jose Astronomical Associaton (http://www.sjaa.net/) Dark Sky Weekend star party.  http://www.sjaa.net/year2010.shtml  Local Astronomers will have their telescopes set up at our Coe Ranch Entrance Parking lot for public viewing.  The parking lot is 1/2 miles from the park visitor center.

Saturday 7/31 8 pm. - Birds of Coe Park slideshow program presented by park volunteers Kevin and Barbara.  Join Kevin and Barbara for an informative and fun program learning about the birds of Henry W. Coe State Park.

Saturday 8/7 11 am. - Family Art Hike to Frog Lake with park volunteer Sigal.  Bring your own art supplies and share some with the Sigal.  Meet at the Coe Ranch Entrance Visitor Center.

Saturday 8/21 9 am. - Hike to Willson Peak with park volunteer Sigal.  Enjoy a moderate to strenuous hike to experience great views from Willson Peak at the park.  This hike meets at the Hunting Hollow Entrance

Saturday 8/28 8 pm. - Enjoy an interpretive slide show at the Coe Ranch Visitor Center Interpretive Room with park volunteer Carolyn.  The program celebrates the parks founder Sada Coe on what would be her 100th birthday. 

Weekend of 9/4 to 9/5 - Family Backpacking Event to Manzanita Point near Coe Ranch Entrance.  Join park volunteer Sigal on a backpack trip 2.5 miles to Manzanita Point Group camp area.  RSVP Sigal at stzoore@yahoo.com

Saturday 9/4 7 pm. - Enjoy a Henry W. Coe State Park style folk music event presented by the Bee Knees at the Metal Roof Barn Coe Ranch Entrance. 

Saturday 9/25 6 pm. - Moonlight Horseback Ride at Hunting Hollow Entrance http://www.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=25819  Bring a food dish to share, drinks, chair, and place settings.  Equestrian Rides will start ride at 7 pm.  RSVP Chere at (408) 683-2247, and Kitty at (408) 842-6215
