Asilomar Centennial Lunch and Lecture Series

Join Cyndi Dawson, Environmental Scientist at Asilomar State Beach and Conference grounds May 13th

Cyndi will give a short history of the ecology and management of Asilomar State Beach and Conference. Her talk will focus on  or State Parks role as stewards of Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds. The talk will highlight on-going projects in the restored coastal dune and Monterey pine forest habitats discussing the roles of selected plants and animals in those environments Join us for an information and interactive presentation on the amazing Natural History of Asilomar.  RSVP to (831) 372-8016.

Monterey Monthly Beach Cleanup at Asilomar State Beach

When: Sat, May 11, 10am – 12pm

                                                         Where: Asilomar State Beach, Pacific Grove, CA

Come out and join Save Our Shores for the monthly public beach cleanup at Asilomar State Beach. Check-in will be at the main entrance to Asilomar State Beach on Sunset Drive. Parking available on the road at Sunset Dr. Individual and small group volunteers are welcome. Save Our Shores provides all necessary supplies, and we encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable buckets, gloves, and water bottles. For more information, contact cleanup@saveourshores.org.

Asilomar State Park staff and the hospitality concessionaire annually celebrate specific events.  Call the park office (831) 646-6440 one month prior to the event for details.

October:         Historic Home & Building Tour by City of Pacific Grove Heritage Society
November:    Thanksgiving Banquet
December:    Christmas in the Inns by City of Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce

Planning a Special Event or Function at Asilomar?

Special events and functions at Asilomar, whether on the conference grounds or on the beach, require a permit.  They include but are not limited to: weddings, formal gatherings, catering, vending, and organized group activities.  The hospitality concessionaire at Asilomar, under contract with California State Parks, provides the facility, reservations and services for these events.
