Technical Assistance Workshop Schedule
OGALS held technical assistance workshops throughout the state starting February, 2011, for over 300 attendees.
The April 1, 2009 Statewide Park Program Application Guide is the culmination of extensive statewide outreach and participation through public comment periods that began on December 1, 2008 and ended on March 11, 2009. OGALS held nine heavily attended public hearings throughout California and received more than four-hundred comments at these hearings and through emails and letters.

Statewide Park Act (AB31) text
AB 31 (De Leon) which created the Statewide Park Program was signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger on September 30, 2008. Funding for the grant program was made available through the Sustainable Communities and Climate Change Reduction chapter in Proposition 84. (Public Resources Code § 75065 (b) (1-5).
