Create your Fact Finder Report with the push-pin needle-tip (radius origin)
inserted on the project site, not outside of the project site boundaries.

Technical Assistance Workshop Schedule
OGALS held technical assistance workshops throughout the state starting February, 2011, for over 300 attendees.

The April 1, 2009 Statewide Park Program Application Guide is the culmination of extensive statewide outreach and participation through public comment periods that began on December 1, 2008 and ended on March 11, 2009.  OGALS held nine heavily attended public hearings throughout California and received more than four-hundred comments at these hearings and through emails and letters.

The following information provides legislation and public comment period resources used for the development of the final April 1, 2009 Application Guide.

The following resouces were available during the public comment periods.

1.  The new draft Application Guide dated February 17, 2009 (Clean version) 

2.  The new draft Application Guide dated February 17, 2009. (Strike-through version showing changes made to the December 1, 2008, draft.)

3.  The beta version of the "California State Parks Community Fact Finder" cited in the draft Application Guide.

4.  Application Guide comments and OGALS’ responses generated through the December 1, 2008 through January 16, 2009 public comment period.

     Statewide Park Act (AB31) text

     AB 31 (De Leon) which created the Statewide Park Program was signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger on September 30, 2008.  Funding for the grant program was made available through the Sustainable Communities and Climate Change Reduction chapter in Proposition 84. (Public Resources Code § 75065 (b) (1-5).
