Senior Discounts and Passes
SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT
For persons 62 years of age or older. Proof of age based on California Driver License or other identification card. Permits year-round $1.00 discount for vehicle day use and a $2.00 discount for family camping in state-operated parks regardless of income status without the need to purchase any pass.
The discount does not apply to fees under $2.00 or supplementary fees, and cannot be used with any other discount/pass program.
GOLDEN BEAR PASS - $5.00 Calendar YearAny qualifying person receiving Aid to the Aged, Blind, or Disabled; any person 62 years of age or older with income limitations specified on the application form; or any person receiving aid under the applicable aid codes in the CalWORKS Program is eligible to receive the Golden Bear Pass.
The pass must be renewed each calendar year. Entitles the bearer and spouse or registered domestic partner to the use of all State Park System operated facilities where vehicle day use fees are collected, except Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, at no further charge.

LIMITED USE GOLDEN BEAR PASS - $10.00 Calendar YearPersons 62 years of age or older are eligible to receive the Limited Use Golden Bear Pass. The pass entitles the holder and spouse or registered domestic partner to the use of all State operated units of the California State Park System during non-peak season where vehicle day use fees are collected, except Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, at no further charge.
The pass must be renewed each calendar year. It is not valid for use during the peak season from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day at most state parks, and the Friday before Labor Day through Memorial Day at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Picacho State Recreation Area and Salton Sea State Recreation Area.
