Drop -in Program
If you were unable to obtain a school reservation for the Cooper Molera Hands-on Program, this is an excellent alternative.

Due to the high demand for visits to the Custom House and Pacific House by Elementary Schools, Monterey State Historic park is pleased to offer a Custom House/Pacific House drop-in program for 3rd, 4th, or 3rd and 4th combo classes.

This program is offered during the school week on Fridays only in April, May & June. No reservation is needed. Should more than one class wish to enter as a drop-in, schools will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Schools must wait until previously arriving schools complete their visit.

Students will not be charged for drop-in visits. Each accompanying adult will be charged a $2.00 admission fee to defray costs of teaching materials. We strongly recommend that students be divided into smaller groups – each with an accompanying adult chaperone to maximize the teaching experience and ensure child safety.

Please note: This program is not recommended for students younger than Grade 3. Museum guidelines become difficult for younger students to follow and interpretive content may not be appropriate for younger learners.
