Larry Felton is a historical archaeologist and has worked for the California Department of Parks and Recreation since 1975. He has been involved in a wide variety of projects in locations ranging from San Diego to Eureka (Fort Humboldt SHP). However, his main interests are in Mexican Republic-era sites and structures, especially in Sonoma, Monterey, and Old Town San Diego. He is a specialist in early 19th-Century ceramics and electronic data management.

Larry Felton received his degree from the University of the Americas in Pueblo, Mexico. He has published several scholarly works on excavations and artifacts including co-authoring The Diaz Privy Volume and a work on a Chinese laundry in Woodland, California.

Dr. Peter Schulz has been working for the California Department of Parks and Recreation as an archaeologist since the 1970s. His research interests include zooarchaeology, specifically fresh water fishes of the west coast, and historic architecture. He has led projects throughout the state in such varied environments as Old Town San Diego, Old Sacramento, China Camp Village, and Bodie SHP.

Dr. Schulz was educated at San Francisco State University and completed his Ph.D. at UC Davis in 1981. He is the author of numerous scholarly papers with particular emphasis on faunal analysis ranging from teeth to meat cuts, but especially fish bones.
