Doheny State Beach Interpretive Association

The Doheny State Beach Interpretive Association (DSBIA) formed in 1982 to promote an appreciation for and an interest in the natural history of Doheny State Beach.

Membership fees, donations and other funds are used to maintain the park’s visitor center that is the home of 5 aquariums and a popular indoor tide pool. These funds also support campfire programs, Junior Ranger programs, and special events like the Grunion Night, as well as enabling the purchase of interpretive books and supplies.

The association proudly supports a docent program for community volunteers who want to become involved in the many park educational and interpretive activities. DSBIA is an official cooperating association with the California State Parks. For further information or to join, visit the Doheny State Beach Interpetive Association website.
