Urban Recreational and Cultural Centers, Museums, and Facilities for Wildlife or Environmental Education Program

Administrative Standards: Public Comment Period Open Public Hearings Announced

The Draft Procedural Guidelines for the Per Capita Grant Program; the Urban Recreational and Cultural Centers, Museums, and Facilities for Wildlife or Environmental Education Grant Program (Urban Recreation and Cultural Centers); and the Administrative Standards are available for public comment.

Public hearings are also scheduled. You can also obtain hard copies by contacting us in writing or by phone.

  • The Per Capita Grant Program provides funding for park development projects for cities, counties, eligible park districts, and regional parks. Funding is based on the population found within the boundaries of these jurisdictions.

  • The Urban Recreational and Cultural Centers Grant Program is a competitive program for cities, counties, federally recognized California Indian tribes, and non-profit organizations. Eligible projects are limited to the development or rehabilitation of real property consisting of urban recreational and cultural centers, museums, and facilities for wildlife education or environmental education.

  • The Administrative Standards establishes procedures that will be incorporated as appropriate into all 2000 Parks Bond Act grant programs administered by the Office of Grants and Local Services.



The Office of Grants and Local Services must receive all comments by 4:30 PM, May 3, 2001. The public can provide comments by US mail, by email, by fax, and at the public hearings.
