School Group Train Ride
The School Group Train Ride Program is designed for all students K-12.
Classes meet at the Central Pacific Passenger Station for a 40 minute train ride following the tracks of the Museum's historic Sacramento Southern Railroad, along the Sacramento River's levees. Knowledgeable, on-board Docents explain to students about train travel during the 1920s.
School Group Size:
10 person minimum with a maximum of 45
Adult Supervision Requirement:
1-adult for every 10 students
Meet at the Central Pacific Passenger Station in Old Sacramento SHP
across from the Eagle Theater
City parking lot, under I-5, enter from I street under the freeway. City parking charges apply. Bus parking in back of railroad museum.
Schedule and Fees:
February, March, April and October
Train leaves 11:00 am and 1:00 pm
$150 flat fee paid by cash or check at Sac southern Depot on day of visit.
