School Group Train Ride
The School Group Train Ride Program is designed for students K-12, ages 5 to 17 years.
Grade school through High School.
Classes meet at the Central Pacific Freight Depot for a 40 minute train ride that follows the tracks of the Museum's historic Sacramento Southern Railroad, along the Sacramento River's levees. Knowledgeable, on-board Docents tell students about train travel during the 1920s.
Reservation required and must be made at least 7 days in advance with ReserveAmerica.
School Group Size:
10 person minimum with a maximum of 45, begining the 2012 school year.
Adult Supervision Requirement:
1-adult for every 10 students
Location:
Meet at Freight Depot
On Front Street between "J" and "K" Streets, Old Sacramento
Parking:
City parking lot, under I-5, enter from I street under the freeway. City parking charges apply.
Schedule and Fees:
Tuesday
March through mid-May and October
11:00 am and 1:00 pm
$150 flat fee paid by cash or check.
